The object of this interlocking burr puzzle is to separate the 6 pieces and put them back together again. The pieces are locked together with dovetails in 3 sets of 2 pieces so separating the pieces is quite difficult.
The puzzle is designed by Frans de Vreugd especially for the 20th International Puzzle Party held in Los Angeles in August 2000.
Frans is well known for designing very difficult interlocking burr puzzles. We also stock the Gordion's Knot and Brace Yourself burrs also designed by Frans.
Size: 95mm x 95mm x 95mm A full 13 step solution with drawings comes in the box with the puzzle. The puzzle is so difficult this solution sheet shows how to take it apart!!!!
Notes: Please pay attention to the photo. Puzzles are in "as is" condition. The wood appears to be a light colour hardwood and the contrast pieces have been stained. There is some wear on the edges from being in the box. This is not one of the originals that was made for IPP. It's quite a loose fit but it does lock together very well because of the dovetails. There's a lot of work in the manufacture of a puzzle like this; each piece consists of a minimum of 4 separate pieces jointed and glued together. Two of them have either a dovetail or a matching groove.
