Two of the interlocking burr puzzles are very different from anything we've seen before; the other two appear at first to be known designs but after playing with them they also have their own design features that make them original. They range from Difficulty Rating 2 out of 4 = Challenging to Difficulty Rating 4 out of 5 = Unbelievable. 1- Level 2 2 - Level 3 3- Level 4 4 - Level 4 The puzzles are called Eco Game made from Bamboo. Set of 4 Bamboo interlocking burr puzzles
12 pieces with very unusual notching interlock to make a cubular shaped burr puzzle.
6 door-framed pieces with notches interlock to make a cubular shaped burr puzzle.
A very different 7 piece burr unlike other burrs of it's kind we've seen before. There are many rotational moves to solve this puzzle. It seems unlikely it will be able to be solved by a computer any time soon.
A 6 piece burr inside a static frame; 7 pieces in all. The puzzle reminds us of Bill Cutler's Bin Cross made by Toyo Glass in 1991 but the pieces are quite different.
The philosophy of miToys use of bamboo is:
Bamboo is a large grass which grows quite quickly in different climates around the world. It is an ideal substitute, plentiful and eco-friendly species to replace wood, which will help make our earth greener and last longer.
Each puzzle does come with a solution but it is printed quite small (seems they wanted to continue the 'environmentally friendly' theme) and leaves a lot to the solvers own ability.
