Price: Ages 5 and up. This is a real puzzle that can be solved without knowing a pre-set series of moves. There is no algorithm, this is a problem solving challenge; just like a jigsaw or sudoku puzzle. No batteries or accessories required! With modern highschool students graduating classes on a keyboard, some of the fundamental hand skills are starting to suffer. A recent study of M.I.T. math students showed a better result for those students working on cars because of the involvement with their hands. The goal of ENI is to design fun toys that exercise fundamental skills that are being ignored in modern technology. As we progress into the future, the lack of focus on simple eye-and-hand motor skills (EQ) while stimulating the brain (IQ) has become a primary concern of the puzzle developer. The puzzle is not designed as a brain teaser that has a simple solution that requires a memorisation of manoeuvres, but a multi-solutioned puzzle that allows creativity to form and keep the mind inquisitive and challenged. Like a real jigsaw puzzle, one has to focus upon moving a puzzle piece into a specific place. Simple problem solving, spacial relationships, dexterity, creativity, and temperament are all enhanced with the Eni Puzzle.
ENI sequential move column puzzle
The object of the puzzle is to place the tiles into patterns by making the rotating and sliding moves that manipulate the empty space. By rotating and sliding the pieces in and out of the empty space around the cylinder a multitude of solutions is possible.
