Price: The puzzle is to build a cube from the 9 bars with a pattern of brass spots 1 to 6 on each outside face. This one is quite a difficult version of this puzzle. Watch out - it has a trick up it's sleeve; the final solution is not the normal dice pattern but you still need to have six sides with a different number on each side. The concept of this puzzle goes back as far as Professor Hoffman, a very famous puzzle inventor from the late 1800's. In his book "Puzzles Old and New" published in 1893 Professor Hoffman described a puzzle he called "Spots Puzzle" which made a cube where the spots on each side totalled 7 like a dice.
