The earliest known example of this puzzle was being sold as The Small Devil's Hoof in the Mathematical Amusements section of Catel's catalogue published in Berlin in 1790 & 1793. It's a classic and must be a part of any comprehensive range of puzzles. Size 90mm x 90mm x 90mm (each piece 90mm x 30mm x 30mm) Packaged DISASSEMBLED for your puzzling enjoyment! This puzzle is one of the group of interlocking solid puzzles called burr puzzles.
