THE EGG BEFORE THE CHICKEN
- Which came first the
Egg or the Chicken?
- With this puzzle it
was the egg.... and we challenge you to make the
54 different chicken shapes shown using it's pieces.
- The pieces are made
from nine different species of timber and presented in a Jarrah
gift box.
- The earliest known example
of this puzzle date from 1893. Between 1891 and 1964 the German
firm A.J.Richter & Co. made a range of 36 different dissection
puzzles under the trade name Anchor Puzzles.
ESCHER(K)NOT
- No, it's not taken from
M.C.Escher's Knots...
- but you'll possibly
have just as much difficulty focusing on what the end result
should be when trying to assemble these twelve pieces.
FOUR CORNERS OF THE
