2 IN 1 Original selling price AUD85.00 Oskar van Deventer (inventor of Oskar’s Cube) designed this puzzle in Holland in 1985. He nearly always designs his puzzles in his head before completing detailed drawings for craftsmen to work from. He usually never makes the finished product himself. This puzzle was originally made with 12 aluminium pieces but here MR PUZZLE has created a beautiful wooden version from Queensland Silver Ash. The unusual pattern in which the 4 x 4 x 4 pieces are offset makes it an extremely difficult puzzle. WENDY Original selling price AUD200.00    From 1874 Mr Yamanaka applied the ancient Japanese skill of joining wood without nails to make building structures to making interlocking puzzles in the shape of pagodas and towers. The art continues in the Hakone district even today. WENDY is a 3 to 1scale model of a Kangaroo with Joey made in the area just after WWII but in true MR PUZZLE style there is a secret to getting the first piece out. After you’ve released the lock the first piece will slide out effortlessly. Clue: What do kangaroo’s normally do? (The answer is NOT eat - so the first piece is NOT the head) WENDY is crafted from the North Queensland Rose Alder. CRAZY KNIGHTS    Original selling price AUD90.00             The puzzle is to exchange the positions of the two white knights with the two black knights. The starting positions of each knight are inlaid on the board. You must stay within the squares on the board and may use ‘Knight’ moves (as in chess) only. It was thought this puzzle was devised in Russia, but recent advice is that it's origins are unknown. However, it was adopted and further developed into it's current form by Ili Kaufmann in Israel.   It was presented by Edward Hordern at the “Gathering for Gardner, Three” in January 1998. The board is made from Queensland Spotted Gum The knights are cast from pewter The bases of the white knights are Queensland Silver Ash and the black knights are Blackbean NOTE: Original selling price in USD was 56.70.
