Mr Puzzle - We know puzzles!

What are Mr Puzzle's Puzzles made from?

Mr Puzzle's Puzzles are manufactured by Brian Young at Tamborine (it's small so don't worry if you can't find it on the map.... it's near Brisbane) in the south east corner of Queensland in Australia. The timber used in our STANDARD RANGE is a plantation grown pine called Radiata which is then soaked in a cedar interior use stain and sealed with two coats of polyurethane clear satin. For our wire disentanglement type puzzles we use 125mm and 150mm flat head nails (that's 5 and 6 inch). The nails are nickel plated locally in Brisbane. For our CRAFTSMAN and LIMITED EDITION ranges of puzzles we use many Australian exotic species of timber. In the past we have used Queensland Silver Ash, Queensland Blackbean and Western Australian Jarrah as well as many others. We present these timbers as their naturally occuring colours with two coats of clear lacquer; we do not enhance the colours in any way with stain.
