Collect all 6 metal puzzles in the series from Zoyo (Hangzhou) Crafts & Gifts. Some designs are exclusive to them and they have patents pending on them so you won't have seen them anywhere else. Individually these puzzles cost AU$87.00.

These new types of metal puzzles are really becoming popular with puzzlers. The anodised aluminium is colourful but also very strong so many different types of shapes can be interlocked. The pieces for these puzzles are stamped not individually machined so that's great for keeping the price down while still giving puzzlers access to interesting designs.

Each puzzle is in it's own nicely presented clear lid metal tin with a solution inside. Great to give as a gift. The puzzles sit inside the tin in a cutout rubber surround to minimise scratching and store your puzzle in after use.  The puzzles look so good that you probably won't want to put them away anyway and they make a fascinating and intriguing display item or executive desk piece.

From the 2018 series:

WAN Puzzle high-level metal take apart

The puzzle has four pieces that loosely speaking resemble tuning forks bent into an L shape.  The pieces interlock into a base which has slots cut into it.

The process to get them all out of the base takes 25 steps, and then you have to work that in reverse to get them back in again. You will need to have made 13 directional moves from the starting position before you can even get the first piece out.

Both the puzzle pieces and the base are made from anodised metal. New and high-level interlocking puzzle designs made in metal have been limited often to very expensive items so it's great to be able to bring you a series of these aluminium puzzles at an affordable price.

Size:  60mm x 60mm x 30mm

STRONG FORTRESS interlocking metal puzzle

The puzzle has four pieces to take apart and fit back together. But one of those pieces is a single cylinder. That makes the other three pieces very complicated shapes indeed.

It might look like a standard burr puzzle but you'll quickly find that making it in metal makes the puzzle very robust.  It has allowed the inventor to use those very strange shapes to make a very different interesting take on an interlocking puzzle.

Brian at Mr Puzzle has played with it and it reminds him a little of Stewart Coffin's 3 piece block puzzle but not quite as hard as that and obviously a different outer shape; but the concept of the use of unusual shapes of pieces that are difficult to visualise to interlock and assemble. We also have a four piece version of a similar Stewart Coffin interlocking design called Multigrain made in wood here at Mr Puzzle.

The only hint we're prepared to give about this puzzle is that it will not be able to be solved in the computer program BurrTools.

The puzzle is made from green anodised aluminium with a shiny silver aluminium cylinder. Size:  48mm x 48mm x 48mm

RING ROAD metal interlocking puzzle

There are three metal disks with paths cut out of them to make this puzzle. The initial challenge is to take the three pieces apart. Maybe you'll get them apart by luck; by fiddling ... and fiddling ... and more fiddling.  But why not challenge yourself to learn the exact sequence of moves. Once you've done that you will find it harder to put them back together again and reassemble the sphere shape.

There are a couple of interesting challenges with this puzzle for the puzzle "nerds" out there.  The solution gives rotational movements to take it apart and reassemble.  But at Mr Puzzle we've found that the puzzle can be solved with lineal movements alone. That is a level 10.2 unique solution; not an insignificant puzzle to do.  So a second challenge is to see if you can solve the puzzle using lineal movements alone.

One good thing about metal puzzles. No matter how frustrated you get with the puzzle it will be very difficult to break this one!!!

This puzzle is a brand new design and patented by Zoyo (Hangzhou) Crafts & Gifts.

The puzzle is made from red anodised aluminium. It has been stamped rather than individually machined like a more expensive Wil Strijbos puzzle but it's still done precisely so that it works well. Size: The discs are 62mm in diameter and are 8mm thick.

From the 2019 series:

TRILATERAL TRIANGLE heavy metal burr

Collectors are loving metal puzzles these days and this triangular metal burr is one to add to your collection. It has three identical pieces interlocked to make a triangular shape.

This is a level 4.2 burr but quite different from other burrs we usually see. The puzzle definitely lends itself to metal, heavy metal, rather than wood because of the odd shapes and angles.

For puzzle collectors and non-puzzlers alike this one has something to offer. This black anodised piece looks pretty menacing but it's actually a very doable burr puzzle and makes a fascinating and engaging executive desk piece It moves enough to make it interesting but definitely won't just fall apart easily.

Brian (aka Mr Puzzle) didn't take too long to find the solution but fair to say but he does admit that his first thoughts on how it would work were totally wrong. When you first start playing with the puzzle pieces do move but it really takes a bit of thought to work out how they might separate.

This puzzle is heavy and you should be careful not to drop it because it will damage something; avoid playing with it on your best wooden dining room table for sure!

The puzzle is made from black anodised aluminium.

Size: Triangular sides are 70mm long. Width 43mm Thickness of pieces is 7mm

CROSS-HATCH 4 piece metal burr

This metal interlocked burr has four unusual shaped pieces that interlock to make a shape like a cross-hatch or hashtag or the number symbol #.

The puzzle definitely lends itself to metal, heavy metal, rather than wood because of the odd shapes and angles would be difficult to make strong enough to interlock the way they do. With this type of puzzle, it's taken for granted (unless otherwise stated) that no force is required to do the puzzle and that's still true here but with this one it would be difficult to break anyway!

This bright blue anodised pieces are very attractive and the shape lends itself to a modern theme. Great for the desk of that person who's hooked on Twitter and other social media! It can move quite a lot without coming apart. It won't just fall apart by mistake that's for sure.

This puzzle is heavy and you should be careful not to drop it because it will damage something; avoid playing with it on your best wooden dining room table for sure!

The puzzle is made from blue anodised aluminium. It has been stamped rather than individually machined the way some of the more expensive collectible metal puzzles are. But it looks pretty good and the value is there at this price.

Size: 50mm x 50mm x 50mm Thickness of pieces is 8mm

STRETCHY METAL SNAKE Cube puzzle

The puzzle is to build a larger cube from the length of 27 smaller cubes. The 27 smaller cubes are arranged like a chain on an elastic rope. Often known as the Snake Cube, sometimes also known as the Chain Cube or the Elastic Cube. It takes a complex set of moves - bending, placing and stacking the smaller cubes on top of one another to create a single solid cube shape.

The puzzle is made from black and silver anodised aluminium. It has been stamped rather than individually machined like some of our very high end metal puzzles but it works really well for the price.

Size: 45mm x 45mm x 45mm
