To remove the metal disc from the mobius loop you'll need to negotiate the maze.

Have you ever heard of the Mobius strip? It is a complex surface where the front and back are indistinguishable. Even though the shape appears twisted the definition is that it has only one surface. Sounds contradictory and it makes a real optical illusion.

In this puzzle obstacles are placed on the surface and block the way, just like a maze.
As you move forward the front becomes the back and the back becomes the front. Confusing!!!!

The puzzle was invented by Oskar van Deventer from The Netherlands. The original 3D printed version was not commercially available but presented at the International Puzzle Party in Boston in August 2006. Great that this sturdy metal version is now available.

The Mobius loop was named for German mathematician August Ferdinand Möbius (1790-1868), professor at Leipzig, who devised it and described it in 1865. Hard describe without lots of technical mathematical language (that this writer does not understand!) it can be described as a closed loop where the path of the material making the loop has a twist in it. This is Hanayama's new take on the loop with the added challenge of a maze.

Size: Presented in the new Huzzle packaging.  The package is colour coded for difficulty. Blue for Level 3 & 4. Size: 75mm x 115mm x 45mm The mobius loop is 60mm in diameter.
Hanayama puzzles come packaged with a printed solution. This is the genuine solution supplied by Hanayama, not offered as standard by other sellers.
