New puzzle boxes just arrived from Japan

Hiroyuki Oka makes some unique and unusual Japanese puzzle boxes. Hexagonal. Square. And even the tiny Mame box has 18 moves to open. Now that’s tricky!

Hiroyuki Oka makes these puzzle boxes in his own workshop in Hakone where he’s been developing his own designs and style since 2003.  He served a 10-year apprenticeship before he started his own business so he is a master craftsman in every sense of the work. But he’s now creating puzzle boxes some traditional and others showcasing his own innovative designs.

We source the puzzle boxes directly from his small workshop in Japan.
