Edward Hordern IPP Puzzle Exchange – Narita, Japan August 2013
Presented and Designed by Frans de Vreugd. Made by Mr Puzzle.

Frans had the stated object of making a six piece burr which looks slightly different than you are used to. To give you a heads-up we have at least given you a photo of the assembled puzzle but it is sold in it’s unsolved state to give maximum puzzle challenge. Your challenge is to create this shape from these six pieces. To do that you’ll need to solve the Level 8.2 burr. It can be done with a rotational move but it is not necessary to solve the puzzle this way.

Our Rating is 7/10 from the disassembled puzzle (without using BurrTools).

The puzzle comes with a very clear step by step solution. The puzzle is made from Papua New Guinean Rosewood.

Size: 80mm x 80mm x 80mm

I must say, I mostly collect metal puzzles but lately I’ve purchased a few wood ones! This one, I mainly bought to display since the wood grain looks amazing, but when it arrived it was unsolved! I went right for the instructions yet still that was enough of a puzzle for me! It took a few times to figure out which pieces went where but it wasn’t too bad after that! It really goes together smoothly and manipulating the last few pieces into position is amazingly satisfying! I would certainly recommend this one and the price is very reasonable!
