When you first look at this puzzle you wonder just how it can possibly turn like any of the usual twisty puzzles we know. And the minute you start turning the clover leaves you quickly understand that you’ll need the luck of the Irish to solve this leafy brainteaser!
And when you have everything linked up just right the turning is very smooth. It does take a little time to get used to turning the segments from the side edges though.
Many amazing puzzle shapes have come out of a trend to make handcrafted puzzles. Of course this has been made possible by the introduction of 3D printing and CAD drawing software to allow puzzlers to rapidly prototype their ideas and designs.
And Yukang Wu seems to have taken full advantage. The Clover Cube is just one of many puzzles he created during 2017 and all very different! Check out some of his wild designs on Instagram.
This puzzle is sourced from Chengye Toy Factory and not an original Clover Cube but the finish is really nice with the black stickers on a coloured cube. It turns really smoothly too.
Colours: The background of each piece is coloured Red, Blue, White, Green, Yellow & Orange. The stickers are really luxurious black carbon fibre.
Size: 56mm x 56mm x 56mm
Package: Clear round plastic box with replaceable lid.
No solution enclosed.
Note: I want to say a big thank you to an amazing site TwistyPuzzles.com Museum section and those that put this information together. It really helps a great deal when trying to get the history of so many different puzzles and ensure the designers are recognised.
