The aim is to put all 11 balls inside the enclosure, then insert the lid.

Designed by Felix Ure, a young product designer from London, England, the puzzle is machined from solid aluminium and brass. Felix pays attention to every design details right down to the little brass feet on the box.  This high-quality puzzle makes a very special Christmas gift for anyone but particularly those who enjoy the precision elements of puzzles. A brilliant curiosity piece for any executive desk. It is just a beautiful object!

The puzzle is pocket-sized so please read the measurements and see the photo with the Australian One Dollar coin in it to judge.

In Felix Ure’s words “This packing puzzle that seems very simple, until it isn’t.”
And we’ve not found any clues to solving in the name as yet either. Kepler. He discovered the orbit of Mars was an ellipse. Does that tell us anything about the puzzle? Perhaps we need to delve further into Kepler’s laws of planetary motion. Who knows?

Felix tells us that he has always had an obsession with small mechanisms and things that move in clever ways. He has a lot of experience designing luxury products, and in 2018 he decided to try designing puzzles. In his opinion, there is no design process purer than attempting to design a puzzle. His goal was to make a beautiful object with a simple mechanism that is just as satisfying to sit and fiddle with as it is to solve.

The puzzle is assembled by hand in the UK.
The puzzle is difficult but with a simple goal and an elegant solution. And you will have to work it out for yourself because the designer has decided not to package the solution with the puzzle.

Size: 55mm x 31mm x 33mm
The puzzle is machined from aluminium and brass. The puzzles are not bright and shiny. These metals do get a patina over time even when it’s not being handled but playing with the puzzle does accelerate this. This is how Felix wants the puzzle to look; played with!
Packaging: The puzzle is in a simple black box with a black velvet pouch to keep the balls and the lid for the box. When you receive it the puzzle is in the unsolved state.
A solution not included but Felix does say on his website that you can email him if you require a hint.
