Description
Hanayama Difficulty Level 2
The object of this puzzle is to separate the two interlocked keys and then put them back together into their original position again. That’s often the hardest part!
When the original Cast Key puzzle came out way back in 1983 it soon became a favourite for Hanayama. Not only for puzzlers but as a gift for a 21st birthday, a new homeowner and more. This updated version designed by Otake & Wong. It looks simple; but it involves a little extra trick. Beginners should therefore be careful not to pull them apart by force. It is unnecessary. There is a very elegant solution when you get the pieces in just the right spot.
You might find yourself going over the same moves and not find the key to the solution. Maybe you’re missing something? Try to approach the puzzle in a different way and you’re sure to find it.
The theme is “key”.
