Mystery wooden puzzle box – crate style

Reviews (0)

AUD $9.00USD $

The puzzle is to open the puzzle box. Great for hiding a small gift inside to add an extra level of frustration for the recipient.

Note: The photo with the box open and the gift card inside has been digitally altered to ensure we don’t give away the solution to the puzzle. It is just to give you an idea that a standard card will fit inside the puzzle but only just… it’s a tight fit and needs to go in on a slight angle.

Description

It is certainly a mystery how this puzzle box can be opened.
Great for hiding a small gift inside to add an extra level of frustration for the recipient. Or somewhere to hide small items you don’t want to risk laying around the house.

We sell a smaller version of this one too but with this larger one, you can just fit a standard gift card inside the box. It does need to go on a slight angle – see the photo I’ve included. And it might be a tight squeeze for the card it comes on so probably you’ll have to remove that. But a great way to give a gift card. For a more exact fit for a gift card, you might prefer the Gift Card Holder puzzle box which was specially designed for the purpose.

This puzzle has many different names and is also known as the Magic Crate, small Trick Opening Box, Wooden Puzzle Crate or the Magic Box but they are all the same solution and generally have this wooden crate type design.

The Size – 120mm x 80mm x 30mm (space inside the box is: 92mm x 50mm x 12mm)
The puzzles are quite well made for the price and come in a plain white box. Every puzzle box has been opened and checked by us and repackaged with our own designed and easy to follow detailed solution.

    A great first kid’s puzzle
There’s nothing super sophisticated about this puzzle, but it works well within its presentation and the surprise of someone’s face when they figure out the simple trick makes for a good introduction. A simple gateway puzzle.

    Cheap and fun
The parts fit together really well and it is hard to see the solution. It’s one of those puzzles that seems ridiculously easy once you know the solution but I’m surprised how hard most people seem to find it. Recommended
