Description
Edward Hordern Puzzle Exchange – Paris, France, August 2017.
Presented by James Dalgety. Made by Václav Obšívac. Designed by Václav Obšívac.
Difficulty 3/5 on Vinco’s scale.
The puzzle tests puzzlers on two different ways. The main challenge asks you to build a cube with the four dark wood pieces. But then you must assemble that cube inside the skewed wooden cage.
Vinco says OMPIC stands for “One Minute Puzzle in Cage”. One minute? A pretty optimistic time to do the puzzle in!
Size: 60mm x 60mm x 60mm
There are foure choices of wood for the cage. Plum, Cherry, Maple or Walnut (sold out). The pieces inside the cage are of mixed woods.
Vinco collects many trees in his local area to create these puzzles including acacia, ash, beech, cherry, elm, larch, maple, oak, pear, plum and walnut. Timber variety may vary from puzzle to puzzle unless otherwise specified. The puzzles are finished with liquid bees wax to showcase the natural color and texture of the timber.
