The puzzle is to open the box. And there is a space to put something inside the box once opened. But really it’s actually a sequential discovery puzzle.
To do the puzzle you need to find and use tools contained in the puzzle to advance to the next step until you can eventually open the box. It could be termed deductive reasoning so that one logical step follows another. Unlike some puzzles of this type there is no hitting or banging involved in the solution; there are tools supplied for every move.
Another multi-step opening box like the Pandora’s Box, this is another great design by Jürgen Reiche.
The box diameter is 123mm and 44mm high. There is space inside the box but the mechanism leaves an awkward shape. You can comfortably use 30mm x 45mm x 25mm.
We have opened and checked every one of these puzzles boxes here and Mr Puzzle to make sure the mechanisms work perfectly. We have also printed a step by step solution and enclosed it with the puzzle. Adding the solution is not standard by other sellers.
