Description
Hanayama Difficulty Level 5 out of 6.
The puzzle is to separate the four pieces from each other then put them back together again.
Four pieces of the same shape are loosely interlocked to make the puzzle. The pieces fit loosely together and it seems they should be easy to take apart. One is soon at a loss to solve this one, the puzzle gives no hint about how it can come apart. The trick is to not think too hard as you ease your mind into how to solve this one.
The theme is loose.
The puzzle was designed by Bram Cohen. It was awarded a Jury Honourable Mention in the 2010 Nob Yoshigahara Puzzle Design Competition in Hakone, Japan.
