So named for the nice symmetrical windmill pattern it can make when scrambled. Or perhaps scrambled is not the right word. It’s more that you can purposely change the form into a windmill shape. It can also go into some pretty unrecognisable shapes if you scramble it mindlessly!
The Windmill cube is made from a basic 3x3x3 mechanism.
The original Windmill Cube and so many other famous cubes like Void Cube, Floppy Cube, Bevel Cube and more than 30 others were invented by a Japanese inventor who specialises in modifications of the Rubik’s Cube named Katsuhiko Okamoto.
This puzzle is made by Chengye which is a budget manufacturer but it’s still pretty smooth action especially considering the price.
