The puzzle is to make a continuous line using all 14 tiles. It’s possible to do it for all three colours.

Then take the challenge to build loops of particular colours. The ultimate challenge will be to build a continuous loop using all 14 tiles but along the way you’ll even discover multiple loops are possible.

Similar to the well known Tantrix puzzle which Wikipedia says was invented in 1988 by Mike McManaway from New Zealand. Puzzles do definitely evolve over years and we wonder if Mike's invention was modelled on a puzzle that Brian has in his collection called Phyche-Paths which was produced in 1968 by KMS Industris Inc although this was marketed as a game for 2-6 player to get the tiles down on a board with tangled track.

With fewer tiles and less colours Tangled Track is a simplified version that's great for kids and adults alike to while away some time without having to study a whole lot of rules and going completely crazy!

Tiles are 40mm in diameter and made of 5mm hard plastic. The puzzle comes in a handy calico drawstring bag so you can take it with you and don't lose the pieces. There is no solution sheet with the puzzle but the variations are endless.
