The Great Ball 33 piece HUGE burr puzzle

For Metagrabologists (now there’s a word you don’t come across every day!), those who study puzzles, a burr puzzle is one of the basics to have in your puzzle collection. 

This one’s made in a very large 9x9x9 format which makes a nice showpiece.  Hang on… 9x9x9 only adds up to 27 pieces. How come there are 33 pieces in the puzzle? Another puzzling element. Critical thinking and spatial awareness both tested with this big puzzle. The huge size definitely makes it less fiddly to play with.

In this case bigger really is better for solving. With many pieces having notches cut out the larger format pieces also make for a more robust wooden puzzle.  Such a big puzzle makes a very impressive centrepiece for your wooden burr puzzle collection!
