To find the Lotus Flower you need to remove the aluminium circular disc and rod. Even when you do that there’s more to the puzzle. The puzzle is a very, very difficult design by Wil Strijbos suitable for experienced puzzlers.

With 19,696,167+ views on YouTube and counting…. This puzzle is incredibly popular but supply is very limited. This is the final shipment for the current year, and no date set as yet for any to be produced next year, so the purchase quantity is restricted to 1 per customer.

Description

The object of the Lotus is to find the Lotus Flower.

To do this you need to remove an aluminium circular disc with a rod running through the centre. But if you think you’ve done the puzzle by then you’re very much mistaken.

The Lotus is based on the Yen Puzzle which was invented by Wil back in 1979. That puzzle had a wooden frame with a nail in it that held a Japanese Yen Coin. This new puzzle is beautifully machined from anodised blue aluminium and has additional secrets not found in the original design. Those secrets are where the puzzle gets it’s name Lotus Flower and until you understand the reason for the name it can be said you have not solved the puzzle.

There are many, many steps in this puzzle. Many small parts. No banging, no tapping, no external tools, no force in any way; just enjoy the puzzle and find the secrets of the Lotus Flower.
It is also important to take note of the parts that come out of the puzzle and what order to put them back in.

Size: 110mm x 55mnm x 20mm

The puzzle is very solid, and quite heavy. It’s made of anodised blue aluminium. It has the name Lotus and Wil’s signature engraved on the side.
It does not have very fancy packaging; just a plain white card box. We will put a sticker on the box with the goal of the puzzle and a couple of do’s and don’ts.

Wil is a true puzzle solver and has the philosophical view that puzzles should not come with solution sheets. So, if you purchase one of these puzzles there will be no solution supplied. Of course, there are many solution videos out there on YouTube. But to truly say you’ve solved this one you should do it before you watch them. Yes, you still get the benefit of understanding the puzzle and it’s amazing engineering, but if you follow the solution rather than work it out yourself you’re denying yourself a wonderful Aha! moment.
Brian did eventually solve the puzzle after a few hours. Pretty tough!!

Another fantastic puzzle by Wil Strijbos. The first step is the hardest. There are some neat tricks. The later parts of this puzzle aren’t too tricky if you are an experienced puzzler. The fun to be had is the discovery of each step.
My daughter and I solved it in about 90 minutes after a satisfying journey of discovery.
The instructions on the box supplied are important, take heed, unless you want a complimentary puzzle (’nuff said).
This is not a violent puzzle…!
Once understood, the puzzle can be rapidly assembled and disassembled.
It looks great, it feels great, it is fun to do, it is fun to watch others giving it a go.
Only criticism is a lack of anodised colour choices (?red, ?green, ?purple) unless Wil has good reasons for doing Blue!

After recently buying the danlock puzzle and loving it, I was really eager to get another quality sequential puzzle. This did not disappoint! Really get process to the solution and like all puzzles in this price bracket the craftsmanship and work that goes into it is something I really appreciate and value.
    Fantastic puzzle 10/10 overall experience.
Difficulty 9/10. Took me about 1.5-2 hours to solve.

Amazing! This is my 4th Strijbos puzzle and all have been solved in a different way. Always keeps you interested and wanting more. The Lotus is high quality, difficult but fun to solve and yes I have been enlightened.
