Description
With 28 faces at all sorts of angles and shapes, this one is definitely and Xtreme Cube.
The Meffert’s Skewb Xtreme has each side modified to resemble an X. It was created by the British puzzle designer Tony Fisher who specialises in Twisty or Rotational puzzles. In 2017 the Guinness Book of World Records acknowledged Fisher as the creator of the world’s largest Rubik’s cube.
The particular category of rotational puzzles called the Skewb has 4 turning axes that pass through the corners of the cube rather than the centres of the faces like a regular Rubiks Cube. This revolutionary new idea was invented by Tony Durham. It means that each twist affects all six faces of the puzzle. Tony Fisher has modified the shape of the sides to resemble an X and we have Skewb Xtreme.
Like all high-quality Meffert twisty puzzles, the Skewb Xtreme puzzle has a smooth turning mechanism. The puzzle turns almost as easily as a regular Rubik’s Cube.
